Visit Paris in 3 days

I was living in Paris area for more than 3 years and I visited almost all its monuments alone, with my family and friends. However these visits was not really planned as I had time.

One day I received my brother who wanted to visit Paris in 3 days and he asked me to help him. Hi has a plane to take and so he wanted to visit main monuments quickly. Here I am listing places to visit by optimising time and distance between monuments.

Plan Overview

Before starting with Paris guide and paths to reach different places, have already a view on Paris monuments :

Instead of starting from scratch, I used simply a map provided by BigBus Tours that provides a complete overview of main places to visit.

Hopefully, most monument are localised in the centre of Paris, that can be useful even with kids. Personally I did this route in 2 days by walking, of course there we no kids with us 🙂

I would suggest the following split: South Side for day 1 and North side for second day. The third day can be reserved for visiting Le Louvre Museum as it’s taking very long.

I used to install Google Trips application where I was able to select all the monuments and follow the best path to reach them in short time.

Sincerely, there are many places and monuments to visit. So it’s better to start early and I recommend you the weekend to avoid the crowd of people going to work. For visiting museum, prefer a week day to avoid families and children.

If you want to bus to move and visit Paris, just take a one day ticket from RATP for only 12€, or 26.65€ for 3 days. It’s far cheaper than BigBus tour that costs 35€ for only one day.

So, let’s start from Trocadero firs.

Trocadéro, Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars

I really like garden and green parks, if this is your case you will love Paris as you have gardens every where. So this why we start by Eiffel Tower side which is rounded by Trocadéro and Champ de Mars green spaces.

This beautiful view is speaking more than thousand words.

As an extra place, you can have a look and visit the Aquarium of Paris with Trocadéro area. The ticket is 20€50 for adults and 13€ for kids. Of course the reservation by web will give you some reduction.
